How long is a typical Counseling Session?
With the exception of the initial hour long session, a typical counseling session is 45 minutes. In the beginning, clients usually attend weekly counseling sessions, and then after some time, our sessions will be decreased as you personally progress. The number of sessions depends on your individual counseling needs.
The length of time a client is in counseling depends on the nature of the problem, your goals and personal progression. Some clients have a very specific problem that can be worked through in a set number of sessions. For others, counseling is an on-going learning process for an extended period of time.
Why Should I Seek Counseling?
Adversity equals character building. While we cannot change the happenings of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your present life. Through counseling, a person can uncover their true potential and live a life that is worth celebrating. By applying tailored treatment plans to fit your individual needs, we will unearth long-standing behavioral patterns or negative perceptions that have been holding you back from experiencing a fulfilling and meaningful life. I cannot stress this enough, my one and only goal is to help you become a better you.
