Is Insurance Accepted?
Yes, Fresh Day Counseling currently accepts several insurance plans through Headway. The following insurance providers are covered:
- Aetna
- Cigna
- Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey
- Oscar Health
- Oxford
- United Healthcare

If your insurance is not listed, you are welcome to pay out of pocket or contact your insurance company to ask about out-of-network benefits.
How Do I Know What My Insurance Covers?
To understand your coverage, call the Customer Service number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my co-pay or co-insurance for out-of-network therapy?
- How many sessions per year are covered?
- Do I have a deductible, and has it been met?
- Is pre-authorization required for counseling services? If so, how do I obtain it?
These questions will help you avoid unexpected costs and understand your benefits clearly.
When Are Payments Due?
All payments are due at the time of your scheduled session, unless you are using insurance through Headway.
If you plan to use insurance, please contact Fresh Day Counseling before booking online to ensure proper setup.
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
Fresh Day Counseling, LLC accepts:
- Major credit and debit cards
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- PayPal
- Zelle
Please note: Additional processing fees may apply for credit card transactions.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Please cancel or reschedule appointments at least 48 hours in advance.
Appointments canceled within 48 hours of the session time will incur a $75 late cancellation fee.
This fee is not covered by insurance and is necessary because reserved time slots cannot be filled on short notice.
No-Show Policy
Your therapist will remain on the Zoom session for up to 10 minutes. After that time, the appointment will be marked as a missed session.
If you have:
- Two consecutive missed sessions, or
- Two no-shows overall,
You will be removed from the schedule and must contact Fresh Day Counseling to resume services.
This policy does not apply if you inform your therapist in advance that you cannot attend.
